A Cookie Before Dying (A Cookie Cutter Shop Mystery) ReviewThis book was fun to read but also had a good solid murder mystery.
Our sleuth, Olivia Greyson, is the owner of a Cookie Cutter Emporium named the Gingerbread House. It specializes in cookie cutters, cookies, books about cookies...well you get the idea. A boutique store.
Unfortunately, next door is a restaurant, "The Vegetable Plate" owned by a rather over zealous health conscious woman and there is a rivalry that is acrimonious to say the least.
While cleaning up an act of vandalism, Olivia spies and intruder at the Vegetable Plate and almost catches him in the act. The police are alerted.
When a man is stabbed shortly after, Olivia is shocked to learn her brother, Jason is arrested for confessing to the crime. It becomes her mission to solve the crime before her brother gets so entangled in the legal system that he can't get out.
This book had romance, laughter, interesting characters, and an interesting murder mystery to boot. The only thing I would love is if perhaps the Author would add some trivia about actual vintage cookie cutters.
