Chateau de Marteaux ReviewI was looking forward to this book as it focuses on a fascinating yet tragic time in history: WWII, the rise of the resistance movement, and the impact on human nature. This book honestly read like a cliff notes version of what could have been a great story. The author moved through the sections much too fast without taking the time to build the characters and their surroundings. As a result I never felt a connection to the subjects even though some of them certainly went through horrific moments. This story deserved to be developed much more slowly to make for a great read.Chateau de Marteaux Overview
